Apple Mint Face Mask

 

"An apple a day keeps the doctor away"... Very well said!

It's not only true for health of your body but also your skin. It contains elements which help remove dead skin cells and make skin appear smoother, it also can help to clear up those nasty blemishes! Apple pulp when applied directly to skin can maintain skin PH and help you rid dangerous skin infections. Apples contain Vitamin A and Vitamin C, both of which are very good for skin health. Vitamin C is also very good for skin lightening and is used in many skin lightening creams.  Here is a recipe for our Apple and Mint Face Mask! Give this a try and see the fabulous results!

 

1/2 organic Granny Smith apple-(seeds & peel included)

1 TBS fresh organic chopped mint or 2 tsp dried mint leaves

2 tsp honey

1 TBS organic coconut oil 

1 tsp fresh lemon juice

1/4 organic coconut milk

1 TBS organic avocado 

2TBS organic olive oil

1/2 tsp vitamin E

2 TBS organic old fashioned rolled oats

2 tsp uncooked rice

 

Put all ingredients into a blender or food processor and blend till smooth.

put mask into an airtight container and keep refrigerated for up to 1 week.

 

To use:  After cleansing your face, apply a thin layer and massage in an upward circular motion to your entire face.  Avoid your eyes.  Relax for 5 - 10 minutes and rinse with warm water.
